One Can

One Can

A shocking 13 million people live below the poverty line in the UK.  In the Micklefield area of High Wycombe according to recent statistics 1 in 3 children live below the poverty line.  Every day people are going hungry, whilst simply trying to survive on a low fixed income. In response to this need and as part of our ministering into the community, we work alongside 'One Can' to provide a free food bank for individuals and families in crisis.

How it operates

People are referred to One Can from a variety of sources. One Can arrange with the referrer when the bags of food will be available for collection and for how many weeks. The referrer tells the recipient where and when to collect the bags and One Can provide the bags to pick-up centres such as us.
